Biography
In 2006, Julio Chávez, an avid trance and house music fan, attended performances by Tiësto and Paul van Dyk, ranked by DJ Mag as the most recognized DJs of that era, in Caracas, Venezuela.
This was a major source of inspiration that led him to start practicing as a DJ, and in 2008 he launched his career as Revaeil at the inauguration of the Only Trance website.
Following the success of said event, he co-founded the record label Only Trance Records in 2010 alongside artists and enthusiasts from the site, which he ran for a decade. During that time he worked with multiple Venezuelan and international producers who, through this platform, were able to push their careers to the point of being regularly featured in sets and compilations by the genre's most recognized DJs and even signed to some of the biggest labels in the scene (Armada, Black Hole, and others).
His podcast Sun, Sand & Sea, along with other sets published online, has reached thousands of plays and received very strong reviews.
Driven by this and bringing the same meticulous, detail-oriented approach, he has spent the last few years working on his own productions, which so far can only be heard exclusively in his DJ sets.
After nearly two decades of co-organizing and participating in multiple events to push the culture of melodic electronic music in Venezuela, he will be leading the third edition of Trancesition.
